Hlohovský castle is the most important historical monument of the town of Hlohovec. The original medieval castle was built in the 11th century, when it was a wood-aluminum structure. Later, in the 13th century, it was rebuilt into a stone castle. The castle has an irregular pentagonal plan. In recent years, it underwent significant reconstruction and was declared a national cultural monument.

It is located in the castle park, where it is the biggest dominant feature and, together with the pond, the Empire theater, the riding stables and the gazebo, completes the romantic picture. Part of the first, second and third floors is accessible to visitors. However, it impresses not only with its exposition, but also with modern elements such as tablets and 3D glasses, thanks to which it offers new experiences. In the summer, the castle regularly hosts many cultural events.
