Holica (Napoleon’s hat)

Holica hill is located in the Čierna hora mountain range, directly above the Ružín railway bridge. The rock massif stands out above the Ružín dam and descends to its surface through rock galleries, channels and walls. The peak itself is located at a height of 641 m.a.s.l., the difference between it and the level of the dam is approximately 360 meters.
In addition to the official name Holica, it is often called Napoleon’s hat (according to its shape) or Liščí vrch (local name). There is no marked hiking trail to the top, but an unmarked trail. The ascent is quite difficult, so great care is required. Whoever gets to the top will definitely not regret it. The views of Sivec, Bujanovské vrchy, Ružín waterworks, Kojšovská hoľa hill, Folkmarská skala or Hnilecké vrchy will be unforgettable.
