The city of Trenčín had its own executioner until 1790, from which the name of this house is based. The prison was located here, directly on the ground floor, while the executioner lived upstairs.
With today’s exposition of the Trenčín Museum, which is located there, visitors will also get an explanation about the methods of torture that were used in those times.
