Hussite church in Lúčka

The church above the village of Lúčka was built on a hill in the 13th century. Later, it was fortified with a stone wall and a watchtower, turning it into a military fortress guarding one of the medieval roads that led through the valley of the Čremošná stream. In the beginning of the 20th century, it served its original purpose, but it burned down during the First World War.
In the interwar period, a new church was built in Lúčka, and the old one gradually began to deteriorate. Later it underwent conservation and today it is included in the list of cultural monuments. The church is freely accessible, serious music concerts are occasionally held here, but the lack of connection to the electricity network prevents its wider use.
