Katarínka Forest Railway is one of the many forest railways that were of great importance in Slovakia in the past. The original railway with a narrow gauge (600 mm) had a length of over 70 km when it connected the factories in Dobra Voda, Horny Orešany and Smolenice. Today’s railway is located in the area of ​​the Monastery of St. Catherine in Dechticie.

The original line was created at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and its operation was terminated in the second half of the 20th century. Thanks to activists and an interest association, visitors can still ride today, but no longer along the original track. Rides are organized occasionally during free days and holidays, or the date can be arranged in advance.
