Korlátka

Korlátka is the ruin of a castle that once served to guard the so-called Czech road (Via Bohemica). It connected Prague with Buda and was part of an important trade route all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The castle itself dates from the 13th century and was abandoned in the 18th century, when its estate moved to a mansion in the lower castle.

A fragment of the cylindrical tower, the remains of the palace and the walls have been preserved from it to this day. The best-preserved building is the farm building in the forecourt. It is possible to reach the castle by an easy marked route from the village of Rozbehy. There are several other marked walking and cycling routes in the vicinity, which makes this location an interesting place for a trip.
