The Dobročský Prales National Nature Reserve

The Dobročský Prales National Nature Reserve is one of the oldest nature reserves in Slovakia. It is protected by the highest 5th degree of protection, and the history of protection dates back to 1913. The remains of the original forests have been preserved in the area and there is a rich mixture of animals such as deer, brown bear, lynx and a rich representation of birds.

The Dobroč Forest is completely closed to the public, but there is still a way to get here. In the summer months, organized excursions take place here regularly, which can also be arranged individually throughout the year. The trip lasts approximately 3 hours and due to the undemanding nature of the trail, it is also suitable for families with children.
