The Košice National Theater is definitely one of the gems of the city. It is located in the heart of Košice, on Hlavná Street, a short distance from the singing fountain. The theater is built in the style of eclecticism with elements of neo-baroque and art nouveau. The historic theater building was ceremoniously opened on September 28, 1899 and is still one of the most beautiful monuments of the city of Košice.

The theater box office is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The evening box office is always open one hour before the show.
