The dominant feature of the village of Vígľaš is the originally Gothic Vígľaš castle. It was rebuilt into a hunting lodge in the 14th century and later into a castle manor house. Its uniqueness and rich history are also confirmed by its inclusion in the list of National Cultural Monuments. After extensive reconstruction, it became the home of the congress hotel The Grand Vígľaš.

It is possible to explore different nooks and crannies, uncover the secrets of the past and get information from the present on regular guided tours. Tours of the castle are held regularly throughout the week from October to June. The approximate duration of the tour is 40 minutes.
